IND vs ENG LIVE – Rishabh Pant Century: Rishabh Pant added some calmness to his general abrasive shot making scoring a maiden ODI century on Sunday. Coming in to bat at 28/2, Pant saw the dismissals of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav, before stitching a game-defining partnership with Hardik Pandya. Rishabh Pant scored his maiden ODI century in Manchester as India sealed a five wicket win on Sunday. The 24-year-old remained unbeaten on 125 as the Men in Blue clinched a 2-1 series win.

Pant came into bat at No. 4 and India were in a spot of bother slipping to 72/4 in their chase of 260. The left-hander stitched a 133-run partnership with Hardik Pandya to rescue the team at Old Trafford. After Jos Buttler missed a stumping chance, Pant took his time, scoring at a middling strike rate of around 60 as Hardik took the attack to the opposition.
He however accelerated soon after reaching his half-century in 71 balls. The 24-year-old never looked back as he toyed with the English attack, reaching his second fifty in just 35 balls. After Pandya’s dismissal, Rishabh Pant went into overdrive reaching his maiden ODI century.
In his last seven deliveries, Pant hit 6 fours to make a mockery of the chase, to remain unbeaten on a breathtaking 125. Incidentally, Pant has now scored centuries on the first and last day of India’s tour of England, having slammed 146 on Day 1 of the Edgbaston Test.
