Soon, the howling sound of the LT6 V8 engine in the rear chamber of the 2023 Corvette Z06 will impact the quiet emptiness of the quiet country road. Although there is no shortage of leaks, spy photos and video captures and confirmation of the engine sound of the flat crank V8, this is the first time Chevrolet has confirmed. It has been almost two years since the official debut of the C8 Corvette Stingray. We are now opening the next chapter of Chevrolet performance. It was teased in the video below:

The 2023 Corvette Z06 completely reconsidered everything previously seen on the nameplate. This is the first medium-sized Z06 and the first flat crank V8 Z06. Although the details have not yet been officially announced, the C8 Corvette Z06 will be fully rear-wheel drive and will transmit all the power of its LT6 V8 to the rear wheels through a Tremec dual-clutch 8-speed gearbox. Currently seen in stingrays.

MC&T can also confirm that the 2023 Corvette Z06 will use Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires; the same brand is used on the $400,000 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which has been seen to lag behind the Z06 prototype in benchmark tests. The C8 Corvette Z06 is also expected to be equipped with a unique exhaust system to guide the gas to the central outlet. We were told that the positioning was designed to amplify the high speed of the LT6 engine.

Among them, the new DOHC flat crank V8 is expected to be the most powerful naturally aspirated eight-cylinder engine produced by any car manufacturer, with a maximum power between 600 and 620 horsepower. Corvette enthusiasts may laugh at the fact that the LT4-powered supercharged V8 is expected to output lower than the C7 Corvette Z06, but it is expected that the C8 Z06 will make more use of this through record-setting downforce levels and excellent tire grip. Power, and optimal weight distribution. On road tracks, such as the Americas Circuit where the trailer was filmed, 2023 Z06 should be ashamed of any previous Corvette iteration.

The full display of the 2023 Corvette Z06 is expected to take place in the fall of 2021.
